My non-existent affair with boots

I will be the first to admit, I do not like leather boots. They feel uncomfortable and stiff, and me being a comfort king and all, naturally prefer loafers and canvas shoes over them. But it was a while ago that there was this big event in our church, and one has to dress well for church (always!!) I went through my wardrobe and I panicked when I realized that I did not have any nice shoes to wear. So, as always, I ran out during the last hour to the stores and hurriedly got this pair of leather boots.

Now, when I first wore them, I felt like a runway model...in sky-high heels. I was clumsy to say the least. I went to the event, and something happened. Somehow, the boots gave me a new confidence that loafers never did. I felt...mighty, and powerful. Now, I got thinking. 'If a pair of simple black leather boots can make me feel this way, I wonder how a pair of crafted Italian leather boots would make me feel?' So, I went online, and did a little quick search. Boots are definitely in this winter season. Now, I won't say I've started a love affair with them. But I'm definitely starting to see boots as a shoe option that I could adopt. Let winter come. And maybe I can play mighty and powerful in a nice pair of brown leather boots.

Brouges, anyone??

Hiking Boots.

Boots for the dead of winter.

A little color to go with.

Perfect for an autumn too.
